How does M.O.O.S.E. work?
M.O.O.S.E. students have the flexibility to learn anywhere at any time. Once students are successfully enrolled in a course, they select a class schedule that works for them and will have regular one-on-one classes with a live online facilitator in an integrated virtual classroom system. The virtual classroom allows facilitator and student to interact through live video stream with a wide variety of digital tools right at their fingertips, including a collaborative whiteboard, document and screen sharing functions, annotation and markup tools, etc. The technology allows facilitator and student to engage with each other and with course materials without having to leave the comfort of their homes. Courses typically take 2-3 months to complete, and students have access to course materials 24/7 online.
M.O.O.S.E. is unique from pure online programs in that it also has an offline component for students. M.O.O.S.E. students regularly visit one of our physical learning commons to write exams, meet with counsellors, and attend workshops facilitated by our staff. This online-offline blend ensures that students are well-connected within the M.O.O.S.E. community and receive all the support they need to have an excellent educational experience with us.
