Part-time online facilitators 

We are hiring part-time online facilitators for our M.O.O.S.E. program in the following subject areas:

  • Grades 10-12 ESL/ELL & Humanities (English & Social Studies)
  • Grades 10-12 Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Be at least in 3rd year University in a relevant field; a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
  • Have at least 6 months’ experience working with high school ELL students in an instructional setting
  • TESL certification is an asset
  • Have excellent English written language and fluent oral communication skills; bilingual skills are an asset
  • Be available at least 10 hours a week during peak class hours: China – Mon-Fri 6-11pm & Sat-Sun 10am-10pm Beijing Time; BC – Mon-Fri 4:30-8:30pm & Sat-Sun 10am-6pm PST
  • Have excellent organizational skills, creativity and adaptability
Job Description:
  • provide summarized lessons based on credit course content as delivered by the online teacher;
  • ensure student understanding of content;
  • identify needs for reinforced learning of course content (e.g. additional assignments, videos etc.);
  • provide targeted feedback to students’ work;
  • provide supplementary instruction to students experiencing difficulties.
Technical Requirements – you must possess and be comfortable using the following:

Full-time HR/PR Administrative Assistant in Vancouver, BC

We are seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant to support our company headquarters with a focus on the areas of HR and PR, with the role growing to become our company’s future headquarter administrative officer.  If you are passionate about recruiting and retaining talents, creating a positive workplace, building relations with partners, ultimately for the purpose of finding innovative ways to improve education, this position is for you!

Minimum Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in the area of Business Administration and/or Communications
  • At least 2 years of proven experience working in an administrative setting, preferably related to HR and/or PR
  • Strong written and spoken Chinese (Mandarin) skills is an important asset, as many of our partners and vendors in China can only speak Mandarin
  • Comfortable using a variety of software, including MS Office Suite, HR softwares; experience with ADP is an asset

Job Description:
  • Assist with day-to-day operations of the company headquarters’ functions and duties, particularly in the areas of HR and PR
  • Coordinate communication with candidates, schedule interviews and conducting phone screenings
  • Assist in the recruitment process by posting job ads, sourcing candidates and liaising with recruitment partners
  • Compile and update employee records
  • Deal with employee requests regarding HR issues, rules, and regulations
  • Assist in payroll preparation and administration of employee benefits
  • Communicate with public services and liaise with the company’s office in China when necessary
  • Updating and maintaining the company’s website as necessary
  • Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, etc)
  • Assist in organization and execution of company social and PR events
  • Draft and distribute content such as company newsletters and press releases
  • Support relations with school counsellors, online schools, media, vendors, etc.
